Tempomatic 4 Tap
The Delabie Tempomatic 4 is an electronic sensor tap for washbasins in commercial and public buildings. It turns the water on when it detects a hand near the spout and off again when the hand moves away, so nobody needs to touch the tap. It runs on either a mains power supply or an integrated battery, depending on the variant chosen.
It is available deck mounted for basins with a tap hole, or wall mounted in several fixing styles: standard wall mounted, cross wall (through the wall), or panel mounted for panels between 1mm and 24mm thick. A refit version is also available, made to replace an existing tap without altering the pipework behind it. Wall mounted versions come in two spout lengths, 130mm or 190mm. Deck mounted versions are supplied with flexible tails, a stopcock and a filter; one variant is supplied with copper tails instead.
This tap suits accessible washrooms because it works without handles or buttons, which helps meet Document M requirements for washroom access. It also flushes itself automatically every 24 hours, which stops water sitting still in the pipework and helps meet water hygiene rules for Legionella control.
Key Features
- Sensor operation: The tap turns on when it detects a hand near the spout and off when the hand moves away. Nobody needs to touch the tap, which keeps it more hygienic in shared washrooms.
- Automatic daily flush: The tap flushes itself for about 60 seconds every 24 hours if it has not been used. This stops water sitting still in the pipes, which helps meet water hygiene rules and reduce the risk of Legionella.
- Adjustable flow rate: Flow is set at the factory to 3 litres a minute at 3 bar pressure. An installer can adjust it from 1.4 to 6 litres a minute to suit the site.
- Choice of power supply: Choose a mains powered version wired to a 230/6V supply, or a battery powered version with a lithium battery built into the tap body, so no mains cable is needed at the tap.
- Chrome plated body: The tap body is chrome plated metal, finished with a cap held in place by two concealed screws so the fixings stay out of sight.
- Built for accessible washrooms: The tap is suitable for people with reduced mobility, since there are no handles or buttons to operate.
- Anti blocking security: A built in safety feature shuts off the water flow if the sensor is blocked or triggered continuously, which helps prevent flooding.
