Binoptic Mixer Sensor Tap

The Delabie Binoptic Mix Tap is a sensor operated basin mixer for commercial and public washrooms. An infrared sensor at the end of the spout detects hands and starts the water automatically, so nobody needs to touch the tap. The body is chrome plated solid brass and each tap is supplied with its own electronic control unit rated IP65, along with the filters, solenoid valve and flexible pipework needed to connect it to the water supply. The control unit also runs a preset duty flush of about 60 seconds every 24 hours after the tap was last used, which keeps water moving through the pipework rather than sitting still.

Variants cover three configurations. Wall mounted models fix to a cross wall with the pipework hidden behind it. Deck mounted models sit on the basin or counter and are offered with a 110mm, 170mm or 250mm drop height to suit a standard, semi recessed or countertop basin. Each configuration can be specified with mains power, which steps 230V down to 12V through a transformer, or with a 6V lithium battery pack that needs no mains wiring. All configurations are available in chrome plated or matt black chrome finish.

The tap runs a short automatic flush about every 24 hours after it was last used, which stops water sitting still in the pipework and supports Legionella control in line with water hygiene guidance. It is also stated as suitable for people with reduced mobility, making it a fitting choice for accessible washrooms designed around Document M requirements.
