Binoptic Mixer Sensor Tap
The BINOPTIC MIX is an infrared electronic basin mixer that uses an integrated sensor to activate water flow when hands are detected and shut off automatically when they are removed. A temperature control lever allows pre set temperature adjustment, and a programmable duty flush cycle runs automatically at set intervals to limit bacterial proliferation in the pipework.
The mixer delivers a regulated flow rate of 3 lpm and features an onboard LED indicator for fault diagnosis without dismantling. Backed by a 30 year warranty.

Key Features
- Infrared sensor operation: An integrated infrared sensor detects hand presence in the detection zone and opens the solenoid valve to activate flow, closing automatically when hands are withdrawn.
- Programmable duty flush: A built in duty flush cycle purges standing water from the pipework at set intervals, limiting conditions for bacterial proliferation without manual intervention.
- Temperature control lever: A lever allows temperature adjustment of the mixed water output, enabling maintenance staff to set and restrict the desired operating temperature range.
- LED diagnostic indicator: An onboard LED provides fault and operational status indication, allowing maintenance staff to identify issues without removing or dismantling the tap body.
- Regulated flow rate: Water output is limited to 3 lpm, reducing consumption compared to unrestricted basin taps in high-footfall settings.
- 30 year warranty: All variants carry Delabie's 30 year manufacturer warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the sensor control water flow?
The integrated infrared sensor detects hand presence in the detection zone and opens the solenoid valve to activate flow. The valve closes automatically when hands are withdrawn, requiring no manual contact at any point.
Is an external transformer required for mains powered variants?
Mains powered variants operate at 230/12V and require connection to a mains supply via the provided transformer. Battery powered variants operate on a 6V battery and require no mains wiring, making them suitable for locations without accessible electrical supply.
Are spare parts available for the BINOPTIC MIX?
Yes. Spare parts including the infrared detector, solenoid valve, electronic control unit, and stainless steel supply flexibles are available separately.
